The sensual fluidity of Magdalena Fernandez's videos disarms the viewer and takes him to a place only known to him. Place is, as Fernandez likes to define it, an environment, the sense of belonging... space. Fernandez's formally executed explorations add more tension to the visual polarity present in her videos and the sensorial always prevails over the pictorial. Yet by Fernandez's recording of a distorting geometric form or line to alter our perception of the real, can only allow her to establish new paradigms.
